How To: Add Your Gamut IP Camera to CMS5 Software on Windows PCUpdated a year ago

Thank you for purchasing one of our Gamut IP cameras! In this guide we will get the camera feed up on your Windows computer. Some basic computer knowledge – such as downloading and installing new programs – will be useful.

Before You Begin

  • Make sure your Windows or Apple computer is connected to the same internet network that you're going to connect the camera to.
  • Download and install CMS5 (for Windows) by clicking this link or VMS (for Mac) by clicking this link. If installing on a Mac, make sure you drag the application file onto your desktop instead of into the applications folder. If your Mac computer tries to stop the programme from being installed, have a look at this Apple support guide for help: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mh40616/mac
  • If you're using a Mac on the Big Sur OS, you'll need to give the programme permission by going to System Preferences > Security > General.

Adding Your Camera to the Software

Load up the CMS5 software. Your default UserName and Password will both be “admin”, allowing you to click “Login” right away.

Select your Wi-Fi network from the list and tick the DHCP box.

Input your Wi-Fi password into the PPPOE Password box and press the apply button.

Your camera will be connected to WiFi, you should be able to disconnect any Ethernet cables and still pick up the camera. Usually, it will take a minute or so for these changes to reflect in the software.
